Full sun; low water. Evergreen shrub from Madeira Islands. Grows to 4-6ft tall and 6-8ft wide. Long, gray-green leaves striped with cream. Large spikes of small clear blue flowers bloom in the spring and into the summer. Good plant for seaside gardens and hillsides. Drought tolerant. Hardy to about 25 degrees F. Attracts bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies.
