Full sun; moderate to occasional summer water. Upright, clump-forming perennial forms 18 to 24 inch wide clumps of finely dissected gray-green aromatic foliage. In late spring through summer, lemon yellow flowers appear in dense, flattened, compound corymbs (to 2-3" across) on straight stalks 18-24” above the foliage - in mild coastal California the flower are often present from mid spring until October. Dehead flowers to promote prolonged flowing and cut back to basal foliage in fall to tidy up the plant. Hardy to below 0 degrees F. This is one of the best garden perennials and is great for cut flowers, either fresh or dried and a good nectar source for butterflies.
