Full sun-bright shade; average water. A hardy, versatile plant native to Southern Brazil Bolivia, Paraguay ad Argentina where it is common along the coast, often on old trees. The plant has stiff, very sharp pointed leaves with sharp barbs running up the length and forms a dense rosette. The broad, pyramidal rose flower head is sturdy and nears many bluish purple flowers in late winter and lasts for months. It can thrive in variety of conditions and is quite hardy.
