Full sun-part shade; regular watering. Deciduous tree slow growing to 15-20ft tall and wide. Blackish red bark adds interest in winter. Attractive foliage with deep burgundy red foliage in spring turns brilliant scarlet in fall. Inconspicuous small flowers. One of the hardiest Japanese Maples.
